Andrea Staker-Smith, MS, MHC-LP, CASAC

Andrea is a solution-focused therapist who believes in each individual’s ability to grow, heal, and discover purpose. She recognizes that life can be overwhelming and is committed to helping you overcome challenges and thrive.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Counseling, an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. With over 20 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to advocating for and supporting the well-being of children and families. Throughout her work, Andrea has helped clients impacted by addiction, domestic violence, child welfare concerns, and intergenerational poverty. She specializes in grief, depression, anxiety, addiction, life transitions, and interpersonal conflicts.

Andrea believes in the power of a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to cultivating that connection. Using a gentle and empathetic approach, she creates a safe and brave environment for you to explore your relationships, thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She is committed to helping you gain insight, recognize your strengths, and develop effective coping strategies that encourage personal growth.

Andrea does not offer a one-size-fit-all approach to therapy.  Her practice is culturally sensitive and grounded in an integrative approach, using techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), all applied in a way that supports your unique needs.
